Med Surg RN Job in Goldsboro, NC

You will work as an RN in Med Surg at University of North Carolina Health Care System in Goldsboro, NC. This is a night shift position with a 48-hour weekly contract. The assignment runs for 54 weeks, beginning September 28, 2026. You will earn $2,133 per week.

Role Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years current IMC experience required
• Willingness to accept IMC patients
• PCU/IMC checklist must be submitted with your application

Your Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs for complex patient situations
• Develop and update individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients and families
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues, unusual teaching needs, and discharge planning
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to evaluate and promote continuity of patient care
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives
• Identify and address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care
• Assess readiness to learn and use patient education materials relevant to patient population
