Telemetry RN Job in Elmira, NY

Arnot Ogden Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 90-day travel assignment on a 34-bed stroke telemetry unit. You will work 3x12 night shifts at $2,496.60 weekly, starting October 18, 2026.

Your Role

You will care for acute stroke and complex telemetry patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale evaluations
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, responding to changes in real time
• Administer medications using BCMA standards with emphasis on safety and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, education, and individualized care plans
• Practice primary and team nursing models as needed
• Coordinate care with providers, therapy, and case management teams
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover setting
• Maintain focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and overall patient safety

What We Require

You must hold current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications. You must demonstrate the ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arrival. Your experience with telemetry monitoring, stroke protocols, and complex patient care is essential.
