ICU RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a 12-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit specializing in critically ill neurological patients. You will work a rotating schedule including day, evening, and night shifts, with holiday, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities as needed by unit operations.

In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients with complex neurological diagnoses, including traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurological pathologies. You will work in a brand new state-of-the-art facility designed to support advanced critical care delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an ICU acute care setting
• Telemetry experience required
• Current New York State RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain current knowledge of critical care practices

This 117-day assignment offers 12-hour shifts at $2,390 per week. Start date is September 28, 2026.
