PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 4x12 night shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on nights and 1:3 on days and weekends
• Must be able to manage a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg
• Float required to ICU or Medical-Surgical floors
• 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 26-bed intermediate care step-down unit
• Patients require continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring
• Skills required include: cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, non-invasive airway management, BiPAP support, arterial line management, central line care, titrated medicated IV infusions, blood product administration, phlebotomy, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
