PCU RN Job in Albany, NY

Albany Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position focused on neuro-progressive care and step-down patients. You will work day shifts on a 3x12 schedule for a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Role Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Neuro-Progressive or Step-Down experience required
• ICU experience required
• 5-bed Med-Surg rotation required for all candidates
• Epic EMR experience required

What You'll Do:

You will provide direct patient care in the PCU, monitoring patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical floors. Your responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with the care team to support safe patient outcomes.

Facility Details:

Albany Medical Center is a full-service medical institution in upstate New York. Navy blue scrubs are required for this position.

What to Expect:

Upon offer acceptance, you will complete a Neuro-Progressive competency exam and skills checklist to ensure readiness for the role. This assignment offers you the chance to work in a structured PCU environment with established protocols and interprofessional collaboration.

Compensation:

You will receive $2,462 weekly.
