Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Santa Maria, CA

Dignity Health Home Health & Hospice in Santa Maria is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026. You will work 5 days per week on 8-hour day shifts, earning $2,016 weekly.

Schedule & Expectations

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible scheduling options
• Every 3rd weekend requirement; minor holidays required, major holidays only as needed
• Up to 4 shifts may be canceled per 13-week assignment (or up to 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks)

Role Details

You will provide physical therapy support in a home health care setting, serving patients assigned to a geographical region. Common diagnoses include orthopedic conditions, strokes, joint injuries, and spinal injuries. You will use the Cerner EMR system for charting and must be proficient with OASIS documentation, a government-mandated form required in home health.

Requirements

• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum one year of experience working in PT, OT, or Speech therapy
• Home health setting experience preferred but not required
• Business attire with white lab coat required; jeans not permitted

Orientation & Support

You will receive 1.5 to 2 weeks of floor-specific orientation to familiarize you with the facility's protocols and patient population.
