Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend requirement
• Shifts begin at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM; clock-in window is 6:38 AM–6:46 AM or 6:38 PM–6:46 PM
• Assigned to either a Monday–Thursday team or a Friday–Sunday team
• Holidays rotated with permanent staff; every other holiday can be expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Perform all respiratory therapy duties including nebulizers, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, mechanical ventilation, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, and CPT
• ICU responsibilities include placing A-lines, managing blood gases, intubating patients, and performing bronchoscopies
• Therapists complete 550 minutes of treatments per shift, averaging 13–15 patients per shift at approximately 15 minutes per treatment
• ICU therapists manage up to 4 airways per shift (vents, heated aerosol trach off vent, etc.)
• Must be comfortable intubating patients as respiratory therapists serve as first responders for intubation
• Must be accustomed to high and heavy workloads
• Work with Servo vents (U and I models)
• Chart using MEDITECH EMR system
• Scrub color requirement: Ceil blue scrubs; ceil blue jacket only permitted
• Adult therapists will cover pediatric to adult patient populations; NICU is a separate team
• Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancer
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 prior travel contract
• Experience in facilities with 300+ beds required
• Must be comfortable with vent management, reading ABGs, and alerting critical values
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS; NRP required if assigned to NICU
• Georgia state license required
