CT Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 92-day contract beginning August 15, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work a 3x12 rotating shift schedule, providing approximately 36 hours per week. In this role, you will independently perform computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration. You will operate complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform CT procedures and adjust protocols based on clinical need
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic CT purposes
• Demonstrate proper venipuncture technique and power injector use according to department and manufacturer protocols
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and departmental policy
• Assess patients for risk factors prior to contrast media administration
• Identify all patients using two identifiers and utilize universal protocol for all procedures
• Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition
• Document patient information in the electronic health record as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, with charges accurately entered

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program
• ARRT Certificate (CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or date of hire)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pennsylvania Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 certifications and licenses

Compensation and Assignment Details
