Telemetry RN Job in Modesto, CA

Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Telemetry unit in Modesto, California. This is a 91-day travel assignment running 3x12 night shifts, paying $2,044 weekly.

Role Overview

You will care for adult patients on a cardiac telemetry unit with a 40-bed census and a 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts. Your responsibilities include interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, monitoring telemetry systems, and providing skilled nursing care for patients recovering from or at risk for cardiac events.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, and central line care
• Care for chest tubes, heparin protocols, and IV insulin protocols
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for CABG, TAVR, CEA, Watchman, and cardiac catheterization/PCI procedures
• Manage tracheostomy care, wound care, wound vacs, and phlebotomy
• Operate Plum IV pumps and utilize Epic electronic health record system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years cardiac or telemetry nursing experience
• Valid California RN license with Nursys verification
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• 2 professional references from within the last year

Support & Environment

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Up to 7 days of pre-approved time off are permitted per contract, with a limit of 1 holiday request per assignment.
