Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Provide respiratory care services including evaluation of cardiopulmonary function, treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment, and assessment of treatment effectiveness
• Attend all high-risk C-sections and high-risk deliveries to manage neonate airways according to Neonatal Protocol
• Attend all resuscitations and manage patient airways while providing ventilatory support
• Provide ventilatory care in the Emergency Department, ICU/CCU, PACU, and Level III nursery
• Make patient care decisions based on patient assessment data and analysis of diagnostic information
• Work under the supervision of a licensed physician
• Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• CRT not accepted - RRT required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Expected to work major holidays that fall within the assignment period
• Skills required include adult critical care, BiPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), mechanical ventilation weaning, tracheostomy care and management, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and various aerosol and inhaled medication administration
