Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a primarily surgical floor with post-operative patients including orthopedics, gynecology, urology, and general surgeries
• 20-bed unit with a patient ratio of 4 to 5 patients per nurse
• Full census staffing includes 5 RNs and 2 nursing assistants
• Every other weekend required
• Required to work one eve of a major holiday (Christmas or New Year's) and one holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) dependent on unit needs
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs
• Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician
• Collaborate with patients, family members, and healthcare team members to individualize patient care
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to standards of nursing practice and departmental policies
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in area of clinical specialty preferred
• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License required
• Multi-State Compact RN License required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
