ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts with start times between 6:00 PM and 4:30 PM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Work in a 34-bed emergency department serving patients of all ages including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Level 3 semi/stroke receiving center with no trauma designation and a 4:1 patient ratio
• Accountable for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care
• Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area
• Facility sees approximately 120 patient visits per day
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• 2 years of emergency department experience required
• EPIC experience required
• California RN Licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, ENPC (in place of PALS), MAB, NIHSS
• Certifications must be AHA or ARC
• Key clinical skills include triage, IV insertion and management, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG/ECG, blood product administration, procedural sedation, splint application, phlebotomy, and management of psychiatric holds
