Med Surg RN Job in Kansas City, MO

You'll work as an RN on a 20-bed Transplant Nephrology unit at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of August 24, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• 3 weekend shifts per month required
• No on-call requirements
• Weekly pay: $1,933

Role and Responsibilities

You'll provide medical-surgical care to transplant and nephrology patients with a patient ratio of 1:6. Dialysis is conducted off the unit. Your focus will be bedside patient care, supported by a virtual nurse who completes patient admissions, allowing you to concentrate on direct care activities.

Unit Support and Resources

• Unit secretary available during day shifts
• Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on staff
• Unit educator for ongoing support
• Meditech documentation system
• Agency and contract nurses float first per unit floating policy

Required Skills and Experience

• Medical-surgical nursing expertise
• Nephrology experience
• Kidney transplant and renal care knowledge
• Dialysis experience

Credentials and Certifications

• RN license (Associate Degree in Nursing required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs with black scrub pants permitted.
