Med Surg RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

You are an RN looking for a travel assignment in Medical-Surgical nursing. Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN for a 91-day assignment on the night shift.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $1,898
• Start date: September 23, 2026
• Schedule: 4 weekend shifts required per 28-day cycle with holiday rotation

Your Role

You will work on a 30-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio. You will document using the Meditech electronic documentation system and collaborate with Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, PCTs, and Case Management teams. You will participate in float rotation with other staff as needed.

Clinical Experience Required

You must demonstrate advanced Medical-Surgical nursing experience including:

• Respiratory diseases and illnesses
• Renal disease management
• GI illnesses and diseases
• Telemetry monitoring
• Central venous catheters (CVCs)
• Indwelling catheters
• Heparin drip management

Clinical Skills and Equipment

You will work with walkers, IV pumps, sequential compression devices (SCDs), and related medical equipment. You will utilize communication boards and work toward a 72% patient satisfaction benchmark.

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Navy blue scrubs required
