Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with holiday rotation
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Unit is the Complex Intervention Unit (2CIU), an 18-bed adult Med-Surg/Acute Care level unit
• Unit is divided into a 6-bed acute care side (1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio) and a 12-bed behavioral health side for patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions (1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio)
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Self-scheduling with block schedule available upon manager approval based on unit needs
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license required
• Required certification: BLS
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Scrub color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms
• Charting system: Epic
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
• Key skills include blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, telemetry remote monitoring, wound care/wound vac, substance withdrawal, and use of rapid response/code teams
