Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts are required
• No call or standby requirement
• 36 hours per week or 36/48 hours bi-weekly guaranteed
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1 with 25-bed unit
• PCTs present at a 12:1 ratio
• Minimum 18+ months of recent Med/Tele experience required
• Rural hospital experience preferred
• Strong communication and time management skills required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS
• Must be able to read cardiac strips independently; telemetry monitor techs are present but RNs are responsible for reading strips
• Titrate Heparin drips only
• Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow patients required
• Common diagnoses include CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and med/surg tele patients
• Charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators available on unit
• Scheduling managed by unit manager; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Will float to all med/surg units and possibly to PCU to care for tele holds prior to transfer
• Scrub color requirement: Navy blue
• Department orientation consists of 2 shadow/orientation shifts in Kurth Tower, which is all med/surg tele
• Charting system: Paragon, transitioning to EPIC on October 30th, 2026
• BSN not required
