Physical Therapist Job in Sacramento, CA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment in Sacramento, CA. You will work 5x8 hour day shifts beginning at 8:00 AM, with every other weekend shift required (approximately 2 weekend shifts per month). Start date is August 4, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,657.

You will primarily work in a skilled nursing facility with the ability to float to an inpatient acute care hospital located in the same parking lot. This is an inpatient care setting where you will treat 8–9 patients per day in a post-acute environment, covering stations A, B, C, and D. Common diagnoses include total joint replacements, stroke, deconditioning, pneumonia, balance difficulties, CVA, TKA, THA, COPD, and chronic conditions in geriatric populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled physical therapy in an inpatient post-acute setting
• Work independently and perform patient transfers safely
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Document all patient care in the Cerner EMR system
• Participate in floor-specific orientation upon arrival
• Be prepared for first-to-float assignments as needed
• Cover holiday shifts as required

Requirements:

• Current California PT License
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
