RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Every other weekend schedule required
• Must be flexible to facility scheduling - no schedule requests can be requested, approved, or accommodated
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; blackout dates August 5–10, 2026
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit accepts first-time travelers
• Patient ratio of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of 20 patients across 20 beds
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required skills include: continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care and management, heparin, isolation precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, ortho trauma, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care and management, peritoneal dialysis/CAPD, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, total joint replacement, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
• GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• 6 orientation hours required
