Med Surg RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

You will work as an RN on a cardiac Med-Surg unit at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of October 19, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour night shifts per scheduling period (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• 48-hour weekly guarantee
• Weekly pay: $1,918.44

Unit Details

• 30-bed cardiac Med-Surg unit
• 1:6 patient ratio
• 6 nurses per shift with a free charge nurse to assist
• Unit secretary on day shift
• 3 PCTs per shift

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage titratable cardiac drips: Cardizem and heparin
• Manage non-titratable cardiac drips: dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone
• Monitor patients on GE telemetry and Rover portable monitoring systems
• Use Welch-Allen vital sign machines and 12-lead EKG equipment
• Perform EKG rhythm identification
• Document in the Meditech system

Requirements

• RN licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current Telemetry and EKG/cardiac rhythm identification certifications
• Cardiac and telemetry knowledge
• Experience managing cardiac medications and drips
• Med-Surg nursing experience required
• Navy blue scrubs required

You will rotate with other travel nurses in the unit's floating policy. A free charge nurse is available each shift to assist with patient care.
