Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work on an 18-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with charge nurse working to be out of staffing to assist
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, 1-2 PCTs, and 1 unit secretary
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs
• Work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Travelers float before permanent staff to other medical surgical units and ED holding medical/surgical patients
• Perform peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and other standard medical surgical procedures
• Operate equipment including Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDs, prima-fits, and primo-fits
• Use Cerner Powerchart as the electronic medical records system
• Medical/surgical nursing experience and telemetry experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS
• Dress code: all navy, all white, or white top and navy pants; navy or white undershirts if needed
