PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirements include all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• Low census may occur in 4-hour increments; traveler may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry focus
• Patient population includes stable/weaning vents and trachs, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, stroke, and insulin drips
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required - firm requirement
• Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator and trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
