ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirements include every other weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday depending on unit needs)
• Holiday requirements may apply based on unit staffing needs
• Patient ratios typically 1:2, may stretch to 1:3 with overflow/stepdown patients, CRRT/Organ Donation cases are 1:1
• 18-bed ICU unit with all private rooms having negative pressure capability
• Must have minimum 1 year of critical care experience, travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must be competent with CRRT, IABP, ventilators, post-code/therapeutic hypothermia protocols
• Skilled with all vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytics
• Responsible for titrating critical care drips within ordered parameters
• Perform care and removal of central lines
• Required to float to Stepdown and Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs, scrub jackets permitted but no hoodies or sweat-jackets
• Must submit unexpired driver's license copy with application
• EPIC charting system used
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling allowed when unit needs are met
• 2 shifts of general/floor orientation required
• Must complete EPIC education and general competencies before starting
