ICU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at BUMC Phoenix, located at 1111 E McDowell Rd. This is a 3x12 night shift position with a 89-week duration, starting October 19, 2026. You'll earn $2,434 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of ICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Review patient history, physical assessments, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs, assessment data, and medical orders
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise health care team activities to carry out patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors as appropriate
• Interact with multidisciplinary team members, physicians, patients, families, and external health care contacts

Physical requirements: You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions apply due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience, with experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the ICU specialty area
• BLS certification
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Weekend and holiday availability per facility guidelines
