About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a Medical Surgical unit at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a 112-week travel assignment with a start date of September 8, 2026.

Shift and Schedule: You will work 3x12-hour night shifts per week, earning $1,936 weekly. Weekend coverage is required at 6 shifts per 6-week period. You must work 3 of the following 6 holidays: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Role Details: You will care for patients on an 18-bed Med Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:6 on nights. Floating to other Med/Surg floors, Telemetry, Forensic, Emergency Department, and Post Partum units is required. You will care for a diverse patient population that includes underserved, homeless, underinsured, and insured individuals, including the prison population.

Required Experience and Credentials: You must have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Current Tennessee state license or compact multi-state license is required. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI). Orientation includes 24 hours of training.

Required Clinical Skills:

  • Blood product administration
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Isolation precautions and PPE
  • PCA pump management
  • Peripheral line care and management
  • Starting and maintaining IVs
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Tracheostomy care and management
  • Wound care and wound vac management

Support Services: You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
