RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3x12)
• Block scheduling potential available but not guaranteed
• Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 6-week period (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays), along with 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays
• Only one holiday may be requested for time off
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• Experience with pre-cardiac cath and managing ports required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Active compact license required at time of submission
• Epic charting experience required
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients
• Must be able to float between campuses and to Observation Units, MS, and MS Tele units as needed
• Will support ED boarders — patients waiting for an inpatient bed and requiring inpatient care
• If insufficient boarders, will float to observation units
• Key skills include: accessing/managing ports, cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), pre/post cardiac cath, neuro stepdown, tracheostomy care/management, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Special equipment includes lift equipment, iPad for communication, and pacemaker interrogation devices
• Scrubs must be navy blue with no agency or brand logos
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Natural fingernails only for those in direct patient care, nails must be less than 1/4" in length; polish is acceptable
