Emergency Room RN Job in Penn Yan, NY

You will work as a registered nurse in the Emergency Room at Finger Lakes Health Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. This is a part-time position with rotating day and night shifts on a 2x12 schedule, working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You will rotate through days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify urgent or emergent care priorities for patients of all age groups
• Perform primary and secondary patient assessments, including physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs
• Utilize invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions to manage life-threatening and routine emergency situations
• Conduct triage and assign priority of care in accordance with ESI Triage Standards
• Collaborate with the care team to provide direct patient care, apply appropriate interventions, and evaluate patient progress
• Assess and document any suspicion of domestic violence or abuse across all age groups
• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments and provide discharge education
• Maintain patient communication boards and provide frequent updates to patients and families throughout the ED visit
• Delegate tasks and interventions consistent with team members' education, training, and scope of practice

Requirements

• Current New York State RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience in an acute hospital setting
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only), and NIHSS certifications

Assignment duration is 152 weeks, with a start date of October 5, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,463.
