ICU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit at BUMC Phoenix, located at 1111 E McDowell Rd. This is an 89-day contract beginning November 9, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights per week
• Weekly pay: $2,416
• Schedule includes weekends and holidays per facility guidelines

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of ICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
• Review patient history, physical assessments, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal findings to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical requirements
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise health care team activities to execute patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise plans as needed
• Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors as appropriate
• Interact collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members, physicians, patients, families, and external health care contacts

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Capacity to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
• Standard precautions required due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license required
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required, with experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
