PCU RN Job in Omaha, NE

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026, with 3x12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM) and rotating every-other-weekend requirements.

Unit Details

• 4th Floor East Wing PCU with 55 beds
• 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio on both day and night shifts
• Adult patient population with rare pediatric patients ages 15 and older
• Common diagnoses: CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and weakness

Clinical Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Telemetry competency required
• Experience with PCA pumps, Alaris IV pumps, Cardizem, and insulin management
• EPIC EMR charting experience required

Support and Environment

• Charge nurses, nursing assistants, educators, care managers, social workers, dieticians, PT, and OT available on-unit
• Mechanical lifts in every other room
• May float to medical-surgical areas based on highest need

Expectations and Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs required for all RNs
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care departments
• Valid driver's license must be maintained
• BSN not required

You'll receive $2,382 weekly pay. This role is ideal for RNs seeking progressive care experience with strong interdisciplinary support and structured patient ratios.
