Telemetry RN Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a telemetry float pool position. This 91-day travel assignment begins November 3, 2026, with 3x12-hour day and night shifts at $2,005 per week.

Role Overview

You will work as part of a float pool team, rotating between med/surg and telemetry units. You'll provide direct patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 to 5:1. The schedule follows an every-other-weekend pattern with no on-call or standby requirements. Each unit placement includes one day of orientation.

Shift Details

• Day shifts: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Night shifts: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 12-hour shifts, three days per week

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or step-down experience
• Independent ability to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips (GE monitors)
• Proficiency titrating drips: insulin, heparin, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Experience with respiratory equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Active California RN license

Patient Population

Common diagnoses include ETOH withdrawal, DKA, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, GI surgery, GU surgery, and joint replacements.
