ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Care for MS/Tele patients physically located within the Emergency Department Holding unit
• Patient ratio of 6:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Active New York State RN license required
• Cardiac monitoring responsibilities include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response and code teams
• IV therapy skills required including blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, central line care, and phlebotomy
• Respiratory care skills required including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, high flow nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Medication management skills required including heparin protocols and cardiac drips
• Additional clinical skills required include wound care and wound vac management, seizure disorder management, isolation precautions and PPE, and renal failure patient care
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
