Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required
• Current licensure in the state of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact licensure required
• Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current hospital nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of orthopedic procedures, treatments, and use of equipment
• Demonstrates basic knowledge and care of oncology patients
• Ability to coordinate, organize, and prioritize complex multiple patient assignments
• Provide nursing care to patients in an efficient, professional, compassionate, and caring manner
• Implement nursing care of assigned patients via the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Responsible for assuring effective communication with patients, support persons, and members of the healthcare team
• Direct the activities of paraprofessional staff as they provide care
• EMR system: Paragon (training provided by facility)
