Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Self-scheduling available
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Assess patients, identify patient problems, anticipate changes in condition, and report and resolve appropriately
• Develop and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Administer medications and treatments according to accepted standards of age-specific care
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers and participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences as needed
• Reassess and evaluate patient response to care and take appropriate action to ensure patient needs are being met
• Document patient care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Demonstrate leadership in daily unit activities
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS Certification, MAB Training
• California RN licensure required
• Skills required include: arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and starting and maintaining IVs
