Telemetry RN Job in Wilmington, NC

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Cardiac Telemetry on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment with weekly pay of $2,133.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend shifts required—5 to 6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period
• Self-scheduling unit
• Float required as needed within or near the facility

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Cardiac and vasoactive drip management and titration
• Sheath pulls, TR Bands, Femstop, and central line care
• Peripheral line care and blood product administration
• Non-invasive airway management
• 24 hours of orientation provided

Patient Population

Adults with diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Pacemaker/ICD implantations, and Pre/Post Cardiac Cath.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Strong Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown experience
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Navy scrubs required

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge experience
• Epic charting system experience; Pyxis and SBAR also used

Additional Information

Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events or disasters. 36 or 48-hour contracts accepted, with longer contracts of 13–26 weeks also available.
