Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float required across all facilities when census is down
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Unit serves adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 16 and 30 beds
• Patient population includes observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes management, and surgical patients/surgical observation
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Skills required include telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, PICC line management, peripheral line care, wound care/wound vac, feeding tube care and management, surgical drains, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
