Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required with holidays as needed
• Float required across all facilities when needed based on census
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Care for patients with observation, respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes, and surgical diagnoses
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding; two attempts allowed
• Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, peripheral line care, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, IV insertion and maintenance, telemetry, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• 48 orientation hours provided
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
