Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (4x12 shifts available upon request)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
• Patient ratio of 1:25 serving adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
• Float within skillset required
• Must have critical care experience to work in a high volume ER and Level 1 Trauma Center including neurotrauma, cardiovascular services, and medical/surgical ICU patients
• EPIC charting experience required
• 2 years of experience required; travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care - CRT not accepted)
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the VA State Board of Medicine required
• Administer aerosol and medication delivery systems including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Pulmicort, Mucomyst, racemic epinephrine, inhaled Flolan, inhaled steroids, bicarbonate, and lidocaine
• Competent in ABG interpretation and ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, flow-by, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Perform airway management including extubation, oral/nasal airway placement, suctioning, sputum collection, and tracheostomy care
• Proficient in oxygen therapy and nebulizer setups including handheld, T-piece, trach collar, and ultrasonic
• Operate equipment including Servo I, Servo U, V-60 BiPAP, Optiflow heated high flow, iNO with the iNOvent, and LTV1200
• Robust Assess and Treat protocol in place with ventilator management and liberation policy
