PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Outpatient Surgery Center PACU position
• No call, no weekends, and no holidays required
• No more than 2-3 days of consecutive weekday time off requests
• 2 years of experience in PACU required
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Charting system experience required; Altera experience preferred but not required
• Required skills include: Ambulatory/Outpatient, Phase I PACU, Pre-Post care, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Narcotics/Opioid Analgesics, Reversal agents, Conscious Sedation, General/Local/Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), Nerve Blocks, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, Pain assessment and management, RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale)
• Procedure experience required includes: ENT, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Plastics, Tonsillectomy, Cholecystectomy, Abdominoplasty, Breast augmentation, Podiatry
• Additional skills required: Airway assessment, Placement of Oral/Nasal airways, Emergency Medications, Management of pediatric patients
• License in hand required with submittal
