Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department in Elizabethtown, KY. This is an 89-day travel assignment starting October 5, 2026, offering $2,575.20 weekly.

Position Overview

You will work three 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with weekend and holiday rotation required. Your role centers on delivering comprehensive patient care within the RN scope of practice, with attention to patient culture, age, and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, including objective and subjective data collection and initial admission verification
  • Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints; develop and prioritize problem lists with the inter-professional team
  • Design and implement care actions and interventions tailored to patient culture and age
  • Determine desired outcomes in coordination with patients, families, and the medical plan of care
  • Implement patient care therapies and procedures; explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
  • Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
  • Conduct and document ongoing assessments following procedures and therapies
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities
  • Identify and address patient educational needs based on prioritized problems
  • Facilitate timely discharge by executing discharge orders and coordinating with Case Management
  • Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
  • Promote a positive, healing environment through professional conduct and positive group dynamics
