Job Details:

• Work 3rd shift, 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person within a caring and healing environment
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental level when designing care actions and interventions
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints
• Collect objective and subjective patient data and obtain health information from family or others as necessary
• Develop and prioritize patient problem lists based on input from the inter-professional team
• Determine desired outcomes in coordination with patient and family in accordance with medical plan of care
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Facilitate patient discharge process by executing discharge orders in a timely manner and coordinating with Case Management
• Actively participate in department and unit quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through words and actions
