ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Fast-paced, busy emergency room setting
• Night shift position with an alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule; straight 48-hour schedules will also be considered
• 12 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) required per contract
• Must work Thanksgiving and New Year's Day OR Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse
• Block scheduling type
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, and interpretation services
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
• Key clinical skills required include triage, IV placement and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration, procedural sedation, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, trauma care including traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, and management of behavioral and psychiatric patients
