ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Approximately 180-200 patient visits per day
• Treat patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics including trauma, CVA, ortho, and neuro cases
• Work within a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psych with seclusion room capabilities
• Responsible for own lab draws and IV starts
• 24/7 respiratory therapy support dedicated to the ER
• Central monitoring tech available for telemetry and monitoring
• Ventilator patients held in ER until admitted with 24/7 respiratory therapist management
• Nurse aides and paramedics available on shift (5-6 per shift)
• Security and patient sitters available with safety sitters provided as needed
• Charting system: MEDITECH 6.15
• Auto lunch deductions apply
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• 2-shift floor-specific orientation required during week one
• Must have 5+ years of experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Must have MEDITECH experience
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS or ASLS
