Med Surg RN Job in Zanesville, OH

You'll work as an RN on a 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit at Genesis Healthcare System in Zanesville, Ohio. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 16, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Your Role

You'll deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with pulmonary diseases and medical-surgical needs. Your responsibilities include monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry for high-acuity patients requiring continuous monitoring, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and floating as needed to similar Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips; competency test administered on Day 1
• Proficiency with Epic EMR—no training or refreshers provided; must be clearly documented in referral submission
• Must be adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a high-volume setting with rapid patient turnover

Compensation
