Med Surg RN Job in Cartersville, GA

You'll provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center, working with adult and geriatric patients managing general medical-surgical conditions, peritoneal dialysis, and radial bands recovery (no PCI). This is a 98-day travel assignment starting November 16, 2026.

Schedule & Pay

• 3x12 hour day shifts
• Every other weekend required; no call
• $1,664 weekly pay
• 12 orientation hours

Unit Details

• 20-bed unit with typical census of 20 patients
• 6:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed

Required Experience & Credentials

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Georgia or Compact state nursing license required
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

Required Clinical Skills

• Central line blood draws and PICC line management
• IV initiation, maintenance, and peripheral line care
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Non-invasive airway management and oral suctioning
• Oxygen administration and tank management
• Surgical drain management
• Telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
• Isolation precautions and PPE application
• Pre- and post-hemodialysis management
• Renal failure management
• Rapid response and code team participation

Support Services

You'll have access to IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy support.

Holiday Policy

If one or two major holidays fall during your assignment, you are expected to work all of them. If three major holidays occur, you are expected to work two of them.
