PCU RN Job in Thornton, CO

You'll work as an RN in the Progressive Care Unit at HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge, located on 2 North of the main building. This is a 12-hour night shift role (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), three shifts per week, with a patient ratio of 5:1. The night shift team includes a charge nurse, 4–5 RNs, and 2 PCTs to support your workflow.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide post-op recovery care for surgical patients and cath lab patients
• Care for post-op orthopedic patients, including spine and joint procedures
• Manage diverse patient populations: elective orthopedic cases, spine procedures, GYN surgeries, elective cath lab procedures, stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
• Administer set-rate cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin)
• Use telemonitoring and post-op monitoring equipment
• Document and communicate using the Meditech/CPN EMR system

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital PCU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Cardiac experience (preferred)
• Prior Meditech experience (preferred)
• NIH certification (preferred)
