ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 36/48 hour alternating schedule with 84 hours scheduled biweekly and a 72-hour guarantee
• Block scheduling type
• Weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 3 years of experience preferred; will accept 2 years of experience if traveler has worked in a high volume or trauma facility
• No first-time travelers accepted; travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Additional certifications preferred: CPI, MAB, ENPC
• Must be proficient in a wide range of emergency department skills including arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, IV vasopressors, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, 12-lead EKG/ECG, procedural sedation, intubation, and triage
• Experience with general emergency department combined adult and pediatric populations required
• Must be comfortable caring for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Facility has a daily census of 190 with 62 rooms
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, social services, phlebotomy, and unit secretary
