Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1 on a 15-bed unit
• Care for all types of med surg patients including heparin drips
• Telemetry monitoring conducted remotely by tele tech unit
• Required to float across all campuses
• Required to work 1-2 holidays unless unit is closed
• Scrubs: Navy blue solids required
• Minimum 24 months of experience in Med Surg or Med Surg Tele required
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months - no first-time travelers accepted
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with heparin required
• Telemetry and cardiac background highly preferred
• Recent charge or preceptor experience required
• Proficiency caring for all types of med surg patients required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg or Med Surg Tele required
• Professional reference from charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required
