Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as an RN in the Telemetry unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning August 2, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week. You will earn $2,019 weekly and work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide direct nursing care for medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and respond promptly to telemetry alarms
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Assess patient conditions regularly and document all care provided in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain current competency in telemetry monitoring techniques and medical-surgical nursing practices

You will be part of a care team supporting patients with cardiac and medical-surgical conditions. Your night shift work will allow you to build strong relationships with colleagues and contribute to continuity of care across your scheduled shifts. The every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday schedule provides predictable time off for rest and personal commitments.

This position is ideal if you have solid RN credentials and experience with telemetry monitoring and med-surg patient care. You should be comfortable with night shift work, independent clinical judgment, and communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
