Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours must be indicated at time of submission
• 13-week assignment
• Float requirements as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
• Patient ratios on nights vary between 1:6 and 1:8
• Work with CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias (AFib, flutter, SVT), respiratory, renal, and hemodialysis patients
• Overflow patients may include sepsis, urology, surgical, ETOH/drug withdrawals, isolation, and GI bleeds
• Must be proficient in reading telemetry and administering Amio and Cardizem drips
• Experience with central lines including HD catheters, Ports, and PICCs required
• Preferred experience includes Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation, dopamine/dobutamine/lidocaine/nitro/milrinone drips, chest tubes, other drains, and CIWA protocol
• Equipment used includes lift equipment, bladder scanner, interpreter iPad, and BiPAP monitoring
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color: black tops and pants; tops must have the cross logo on the left chest; undershirts acceptable in black, white, yellow, green, red, and blue
• 1 year of inpatient cardiac telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• Current RN license required meeting eligibility criteria for Missouri licensure
