CVOR Technologist Job in Harrisburg, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Surgical Tech (CVOR Technologist) for a 90-day travel assignment at Central - UPMC Harrisburg in Harrisburg, PA. You will work 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, on day shift.

About the Role:

As a CVOR Technologist, you will be essential to the surgical team. Your responsibilities include:

• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions before procedures
• Assemble and verify proper functioning of both sterile and non-sterile equipment
• Prepare patients for surgery, including washing, shaving, and ensuring aseptic incision sites
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist with positioning on the operating table
• Help surgical team members with donning sterile gowns and gloves
• Efficiently pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures
• Hold retractors, cut sutures, and sponge or suction operative sites under surgeon supervision
• Count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments throughout procedures
• Assist with specimen preparation, care, and disposal for laboratory analysis
• Apply dressings and ensure proper labeling and distribution of medications
• Transfer patients to recovery and clean and restock the operating room after procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through adherence to safety protocols and aseptic technique

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC) certification
• Compliance with PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73
• Meet PA legislature House Bill 81 education and training requirements enacted 12/27/2020

Compensation: $2,806 per week. Assignment begins November 2, 2026.
