Job Details:

• Work 3x12 variable shifts with shift times ranging from 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 11:00 AM-11:00 PM, 3:00 PM-3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No requested time off for this contract - firm start date
• Block scheduling type
• Night patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse
• 72 orientation hours required
• May be required to float to other campuses for support within scope of practice when census permits
• Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in accordance with unit, department, and hospital policies
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Unit secretary interdisciplinary support available
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 1 year of ED RN experience required
• California RN licensure required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA or ARC), PALS, NIHSS
• Key skills include triage, IV placement and management, blood product administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKG/ECG, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, procedural sedation, and management of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
